ABOUT

Hi, I’m Benjamin
Glassblower, based in Aarhus, Denmark.

My creative journey kicked off back in 2014 when I enrolled at Visuel HF — a high school that blends art and academics. There, I spent my time learning classical drawing, diving into creative thinking, and getting a solid feel for how to turn weird ideas into actual things. It was the first time I realized that making art could
be more than just a hobby — maybe even a way of living.

In 2018, I joined the Aarhus Art Academy, where I spent a year getting my hands dirty with all sorts of materials and mediums. It was a time of experimenting, exploring, and learning how to put together exhibitions (and how to make things work when they really didn’t want to).

Then came glass. In 2022, I was lucky enough to start a three-year apprenticeship as a glassblower, learning on the job under the wings of two amazing artists — Rikke Stenholt and Mikkel Yerst. It was hot, intense, humbling, and absolutely the coolest thing I’ve ever done (literally and figuratively).

In 2025, I officially finished my apprenticeship — which means I can now proudly call myself a glassblower. I’m still working with Rikke and Mikkel, learning every day, while also creating my own quirky, slightly oddball pieces on the side.

My work lives somewhere between functional and fun — I like making objects that don’t take themselves too seriously, but still have a lot of care, craft, and personality packed into them. If it makes someone smile, look twice, or ask “wait… what is that?” — I’m probably on the right track.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet — I’m glad you’re here.
Poke around, explore, and if something makes you smile, then my work here is done (for now).
